The golden moment
« Neroli, better known as orange blossom, is a dream for every fragrance fanatic. The fragrance facets are very diverse and can range from feminine, floral and delicate to oriental, exotic and animalistic.
My fascination with this plant began in Andalusia. I travelled from a cool Swiss spring to the warmth of Spain. On an avenue, I noticed a fragrance that smelled intense, flowery and warm. At first I thought it was the perfume of a passer-by, but no, it couldn’t be that all the walkers were wearing the same scent. And then I discovered the trees and the first white flowers that had already fallen to the ground. One such blossom accompanied me in my trouser pocket for the entire duration of my stay.
No wonder I love using orange blossom in my creations. The inspiration of the multi-faceted orange blossom is paired with sandalwood and clove in the fragrance Neroli №61, which emphasises the exclusive, slightly oriental character. The result is a warm, indescribable aura that makes me reflect on the beauty that surrounds me. »
Hanami Love
“A few years ago, a dream came true for me: I visited Japan at the time of the cherry blossom!
Immediately, I was captivated not only by the beautiful colours of the trees, but also by the fantastic fragrance that the blossoms give off! This had to be the inspiration for a new fragrance creation.
We wanted to create an olfactory interpretation of the typical Hanami celebrations. In April, these take place outside under the cherry trees in Japan. Families, couples, friends and acquaintances gather in the parks and by the trees to celebrate the awakening of spring.
The sun slowly warms the ground, the air fills with delicate notes of blossoms, and the buds of the plants sprout. Beauty, transience and, above all, the dawn of something new are celebrated.
I am thrilled with the result of our work! Sakura is a delicate and powdery, floral-fruity composition that carries the spring sun within it.
